I think Albia will be seriously reconsidering whether Agatha would make a great addition to her garden.
And we still haven't seen what Agatha herself has been up to these last panels ... she seemeed to be doing something to send the monster back but was delayed by Tarvek being kidnapped - now that *that* is solved, she can flip the switch.
@53925: And we have a trope entry for it. :-D
For some reason I'm put in mind of Paradox from Ben 10: Alien Force and his ability manipulate things inside the larger sphere of time.
I also think Sacky could have learned a bit from this guy's self-restraint. Including a version of the "Today Paris! Tomorrow -Paris! Don't Get Greedy!" poster.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettFriday page [1]
Somehow I don't think Albia is going to like this at all. Unless, of course, Agatha throws the switch that send both him and the monster back into the other dimension. That would be amusing.
And what a bunch of dim minions to not foresee this!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Agatha walked this road ... but chose wisely. Can she make a second trip.
I am shocked that this betrayal happened. Shocked, I say! /sarc

Disgusted, but not surprisedOh, woe! What an unforeseeable eventuality! I am quite undone by the suddeness of the surprise!
Still waiting for him to lose his grip on this, mind; that, or getting unceremoniously shoved into a can.
A litte sexist but the reason there are all queens and no kings because all the men who sought and achieved the second breakthrough inevitably betrayed their fellows, while women shared their power. This meant, afterwards, the men were outnumbered and collectively ganked.
Either that, or the men got too greedy, accumulated too much power and end up splattered all over the ceiling. I don't expect we're going to see Agatha become Godlike anytime soon - a story with a godlike protagonist isn't very interesting, or at least it'd be so different from what we've had for now that it would be a different genre; so I expect Snacky to go Splatty and Agatha to decide not to do what he did *right now*.
Now the remaining question is, will Snacky get smacked by Agatha, by Dimitri, by Cthulhu's little nephew, or by Albia? Or maybe by Gil or Bang, who should be on their way?
Lets nor forget Trelawney Thorpe, Spark of the Realm! (She's with Gil, last we saw.)
I personnaly like the idea of Snackleford being dragged to the dimension where the Eldritch Horror is an average citizen - who promptly prosecutes him for Interdimensional Kidnapping and Assault & Battery!

Good choice! And I'd especially like it if the Foglios did a couple of pages covering the event.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!To make the obvious joke, "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
The extra arms in the last panel are interesting. Someone is learning to rearrange the furniture, so to speak.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Re: Agatha becoming a God-Queen. With the Ivo Sharktooth side-story, we've seen a future-Agatha who doesn't appear to have gone second-stage. Assuming that tale is fully canon, then yes, she'll stay at first stage for now at least.
http://www.mansionofe.comWell... unless Agatha deliberately keeps "de-tuning" herself (to borrow from The World Ends with You) to seem like a normal human being around the mundanes. Albia clearly demonstrates that she can do so; she just doesn't for her own reasons.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. So, if Albia does show... ancient god-type who's had thousands of years to play around and discover what she can do, vs jumped-up newbie who thinks he's the best thing since the God-Queens? And he's 1) not a good guy; 2) doesn't have any sort of related experience to guide him.
So if he faces Albia, the chances are very high of him going from Snacky to Splatty.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThat artwork is beautiful, esp that last panel. It looks like a stain glass window.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Isn't there something in the Evil Overlord list about those last couple of panels? Or something related, at least.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettApart form the several points that cover "don't set yourself up for the sideswiping Big Damn Heroes/ Villains, dummy" we do have going on before the green energy fly-swat of Big Damn?
The Foglios have done send ups and Playing With various tropes -this whole Summon the Monster sequence feels like a send up of the whole Overlord list.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI mean, he's heavily engaging in Just Between You and Me and a bit of Nothing Can Stop Me Now. Those are heavily discouraged on the Evil Overlord List. That said, considering we're still seeing him on his rise to power, Snacky might technically not qualify yet. Still a bit Genre Blind regardless, though.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. So a little "villain on villain action" now.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Let 'em take each other out.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!But so far, Dimitri *hasn't* been a villain. Oh, sure, he's done some (supposedly) Offscreen Villainy in the distant past, but 1) we only know about that second hand, through a spark he was opposed to and 2) in the meantime, he's been defeated, dumbified, made friends with Agatha, etc.
So this could go either way. Either he's now still "good" (or at least, friendly with Agatha), or the time monster guy thing turned him back into the evil maniac he once was and he will now be a bigger threat than that clown Snacky. Or maybe whatever time dude did was only temporary, and he'll go back to his janitor self Flowers For Algernon-style.
Either way, Albia will not be happy, oh no, not one bit.
I just missed it, then.
On the strip where I posted the link to the page.
