Lots of them!

and most recently Schlock Mercenary in an epic two-day Archive Binge.

I've also been expanding my musical repertoire through all the links in Ear Wormwink.

I'll add more since I've discovered more since the last time I posted.

- Death Note
- Code Geass
- Darths And Droids
- Serial Experiments Lain
- Veronica Mars
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer

(okay, I didn't 'discover' those last two, I had known about them before, I just never watched them).

TV Tropes introduced me to Sluggy Freelance. I've become something of an Entry Pimp to pass the favor along.

Clearly, I need to go read Sailor Nothing now.

Things this Wiki either introduced me to or forced me to watch/read/experience:

(Worth noting: I liked Avatar pre-TV Tropes, and was often at a loss to explain its appeal to people. "No, no, you don't understand! I swear it's a lot more than just an Animesque children's show!" Now I can just link them to the page on the show and let that talk for me!)

You do need to read Sailor Nothing. You quite categorically need to read Sailor Nothing. Just don't read it alone on a dark night...

And I've just remembered that I discovered Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha through this wiki. That was...not so pleasant.

This site got me to read Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and it is wonderful indeed. Avatar The Last Airbender, too, in fact. I wanted to see this show that somehow subverts all the tropes in the book.

I hadn't heard much about Girl Genius before this site, last I'd heard of it it was still in print comics. Finding out here it'd totally gone online got me hooked. Thanks! :)

And as for Archive Binges... I got up to present in less than 3 days, over a weekend. It's that easy to get hooked!

Everything can be improved somehow with SWAT Kat equipment. Everything. Especially with the Turbokat.

Well, add Darths And Droids to that list, now.

Is Paranoia Agent any good?

Depends on what you're looking for in a show. It's plenty disturbing, and the art looks gorgeous, so if that's what you're seeking, go for it.

If I may, I'm going to amend the above: The art in Paranoia Agent is frequently hideous, which is so refreshing as an aversion to Generic Cuteness that it rocks.

By gorgeous I meant the character designs are done in high detail for a TV anime. A lot of them are gonks, and a lot of others look like regular people instead of sparkling skinnybastards.

Sounds interesting. It's got put at the end of a long list of thing's I've been meaning to watch/read/reread.

On top is David Lynch's Lost Highway, in case you're wondering.

I can't find Rayearth anywhere on Youtube/Veoh.

This makes me a sad puppy. sad

Then again, I read the manga first, so I'd be kinda averse to watching it. Kinda like Card Captor Sakura. Which rocks by the way.

Ciaphas Cain. I was already familiar with WH40K, but the Ciaphas Cain books made me believe that I could just maybe tolerate the gameworld lore without feeling disgusted. (It's the lack of subtlety that gets me.)

Ace Combat, mostly after hearing their entries on Crowning Music Of Awesome. I still think that the music is indeed awesome, and the gameplay should be taken out and shot. Damn tunnels.

I gave the reimagined Battlestar Galactica a chance based on this site. It was okay.

I gave manga a chance thanks to TV Tropes, and have enjoyed a lot of it since; full list on my contributor page, but highlights include:

  • Claymore: the first one to hook me enough to read the whole damn thing and rave about it to friends
  • xxxHoLic: I like the beautiful artwork (especially the intro panels) and the slow, careful pace, as well as the casual wierdness.
  • Gokusen: Ah, school more like I remember it, although mine didn't have nerdy-girl yakuza heir teachers. And it's a good one to give everyone who complains that they can't keep characters straight in manga because everyone looks the same; they don't here.

A brighter future for a darker age.

Oh so many... have I mentioned lately that I love you guys?

  • Holycrapholycrapholycrap just started watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! You were right! To a Wukongist like myself, this is like digging through a friend's basement and finding the director's cut version of the New Testament!
  • If it weren't for you lot, I wouldn't know what scans_daily was, may it rest in peace. Without scans_daily, I'd never have heard of Deadpool (well, until you guys inevitably pimped him to me, I suppose). I owe you a life-debt.
  • The Nostalgia Critic! And by extension, Linkara - the Most Moe Reviewer of Them All!
  • Shinji And Warhammer 40 K; hell, now I've got to find those WH40K novels everyone's on about - I don't even 'game'! What the hell?
  • Jo Jos Bizarre Adventure
  • Black Jack (the page quote for Anime says it all)
  • Code Geass
  • The original Mobile Suit Gundam

'S all I can think of for now - if you'll just excuse me, I'm off to hook some poor sucker on Lupin III and Nora.

Edit: Oh - and most of the Abridged Series other than Yu Gi Oh, Naruto and Saiyuki.
