Since my last post on this topic I've discovered Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series, and now I have to go watch them all.
Want some reviews? Send us your stories!Four pages in and no one else got into Firefly through this site? Me, I'd barely heard of it before, despite being a Buffy fan. All I knew about it was "Whedon's SF series that got cancelled after less than a season." When I saw the massive Trope Overdosing here—not due to Entry Pimping by just one or two people—I figured it was worth checking out.

Man, what a bummer.
Same here! I found RPG World through here, after reading about Reka in the Hot Scientist article, I think. I ended up reading through all of RPG World in the course of a few days. I liked it, to be honest, though I'll have to say that (1) the lack of ending was a bummer (I wish someone would pick it up and finish it), and (2) Cherry looked better in her first outfit.
I also found Gunnerkrigg Court because I was curious where Meta4 got that elegant character for his avatar. (Remember the "real men use pretty girls as their avatars" joke?)
TV Tropes also gets credit for putting Tantei Gakuen Q (a.k.a. Detective Academy Q), Mai-Hi ME, and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha on my radar.
And I can't remember exactly, but TV Tropes may have played a part in my getting into Magic Knight Rayearth.
Also, people's mentioning Megatokyo, DM of the Rings, and Darths and Droids a number of times on the site and on IRC has increased my interested in those webcomics (which I have yet to read).
Hm, let's see... approximately in chronological order: Azumanga Daioh, Nanaka 6/17, Piano, Angel Moxie, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (which reminds me, I'm still only at ch. 6 so far), Hidamari Sketch, Genshiken, Aoi House, The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, Sketchbook ~full color'S~...
You know what? Let's just say roughly 90% of everything I've seen recently. Because the list's just expanding really, really fast right now.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Disgaea (game, anime, and manga), for the most part. I saw some Prinnie art and a few others prior, but didn't learn the basics about it until I came here.
And also, I learned to stop worrying and love Etna.
Besides that, I learned that:
A. The U.S. Sailor Moon dub has its share of... problems. B. Excel Saga exists. C. That Bobobobo Bobobo is exactly as insane as I thought it was when I heard the title. D. Pretty Cure exists.
And other stuff I'm too lazy to put down right now.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSRead or seen: Suzumiya Haruhi, Gurren Lagann, Wicked Powered. Also embarked on a historical survey of anime classics; all this after not having seen any anime since Star Blazers and G-Force.
Added to list: FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion (I'm not expecting to like it, but I'll re-watch Gurren Lagann afterwards—it's supposed to help both shows), Patlabor, Planetes, Gunnerkrigg Court.

8-Bit Theater. And two webcomics I access less regularly, Irregular Webcomic and Darths And Droids.
I heard about Nox Arcana and Rasputina through the wiki, and I just bought the first book of The Dresden Files today.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.Order Of The Stick. That reminds me, I haven't read it in a while..
The biggest contribution of TV Tropes to my life was making me watch Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. ^^
I've got a long list...
Firefly (you are eternally gods for that one) Mahou Sensei Negima (I still don't know why I started reading it, but I'm damn glad I did, it's my favorite manga) by extension then Love Hina, Code Geass, Dr Mc Ninja, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (also thanks to the good folks over on Giant ITP), The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, Persona3, thanks to the Let's Play recommendation, Gunnerkrigg Court, anything else (like Fullmetal Panic) I'll look up and check out here first. So you lot have introduced me to a ton of great stuff, for which I am greatful.
My Blog thingI unfortunately discovered House of Leaves through this wiki, though it was certainly a fun read. I also discovered Full Metal Alchemist, one of the few anime I've actually liked (I don't really feel like reading the manga). Most of all, I'm grateful that this wiki introduced me to Watchmen (though I knew about it previously; I just didn't know what the hell it was about).
I find about most of the stuff I read from taking a look in the sci-fi section of the library or looking at the classic authors.
EDIT: [Oops, was there some controversial statement about this wiki's favorite series? I think not.]

Shinji And Warhammer 40 K, Lucky Star, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann are the three things I found here. Everything else I found out about elsewhere, and if I used the wiki to look them up, it was to make sure they were as good as they sounded.
Always think outside the box. Because the box is full of scorpions.Tropes was what basically pushed me to buy and read The Killing Joke. Now I wanna read The Dark Knight Returns... then Watchmen and The Leauge of Extraordinary Gentlemen. And V for Vendetta. Normally I'm not even really a comic book guy, save the works of Jhonen Vasquez.
Curse you Tropes!
The first Cosmic Horror in the form of a mortal beanMy contributor page bears the long list of webcomics I now read thanks to TV Tropes.
And it is so time-consuming it now ruins my life.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Lucky Star, Genshiken, and Welcome To The NHK are the three I can think of off of the top of my head.

- Things I like and deserve the hype they get: Sailor Nothing. First anything-fic that not only I didn't hate, but liked.

Lets see now...
- Sailor Nothing
- Gankutsuou
- Evangelion
- Code Geass
- Death Note
And I haven't regretted one yet

I used to be ashamed of the Animesque trend and avoided anything to do with it. Thanks to this wiki, though, I'm now a card-carrying Avatar fan. I also got into Darths and Droids thanks to you. Oh, and Order of the Stick!
