Nope — it's her arrow that went through his — look at the colors of the respective fletchings. In the fifth panel — her arrow is clearly fletched with orange. And if you look at the sixth panel closely, she's got movement lines over her head — they were both aiming at the target, then she spun to the side and shot at his arrow.
Well, that scene change was a bit of let down, though I may just be overly impatient to see what's up with Jack.
Also Improbable Aiming Skills much?
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrI assumed that they'd both deliberately missed — or aimed for each other's targets. Neither one's shooting straight, as best I can tell, although the angle might be playing tricks.
Also, Tom Siddell's condescension toward the Internet at large continues to exceed mine. Quite a feat.

Well it is implied that most of the kids at the court were thought to be....special.
That's some pretty super human accuracy, especially considering she immediately shot after turning.

So I wonder what the emergency is. When Annie first summoned the blinker stone, someone speculated that Rey would be free to get into mischief; it would be cool if that's the emergency. On the other hand, the fact that Eggers is bringing Bob along suggests it's a botanical emergency.
I don't see how the presence or absence of the blinker stone effects Rey. He was bound before Annie got it, and she doesn't leave it with him all the time normally. Considering that she has the right to stop him with just a word, I suspect they'd have taken Annie with them if Rey was up to something.
Maybe one of the ex-tree dogs has rewoken or something?

Yeah, I assumed that was Winsbury shooting his arrow into Janet's, as a way to flirt that also makes him look like a jerk and thus preserves their Masquerade.
