Platinum Grit? Oh, I know that one. It's the protagonist's long-lost brother's pet monkey who got plastic surgery. 'His' name is Henry.
And we'll see about this Gk C thing. We'll see.

Death of a thousand pokes.
EDIT: I think Kat may be in love. He's a robot, he's got wings, he's a dashing swordsman... all Robot needs is massive biceps like Eglamore's and he'd be perfect for Kat.

But if Rey's somewhere close to the mark on this one, then this would be the second time that the romantic lives of previous generations have affected our protagonists (the first, of course, being the James-Surma-Anthony love triangle).

Frankly, these last few pages are so weird I can't think of any theories about them.
EDIT: In fact, upon further thought, I've decided that this whole basement is a giant Rorschach test. The evidence we have is so inconclusive that any theory to explain it will tell us more about the theorist than about what actually happened.
Note also that Kat, Reynardine, and Shadow2 are all theorizing. But Annie is just observing and asking questions.
