is "flower, blossom" in Serbo-Croatian and Slovene. We have one prominent Eastern European character in the cast - Gamma. So, perhaps it's Zimmy's pet name?

At first I thought so too, but then I realized that fire shouldn't be a problem for a fire elemental. They should worry more abot getting buried under the debris since they could damage the bunker's load-bearing framework.
