Its not like they don't have plenty of source materiel to use for a new season.

Konata appeared in one of my dreams last night. It really says a lot about Pop-Cultural Osmosis when a series that I've only read about in online reviews becomes a part of my subconsious mind.

I hate to imagine the dreams you have after watching it.

I'd look foward to those dreams.

Scholastica,

Ayano? Why did you like her?
I think she seemed quite calm and level-headed. I like those qualities and I also tend to like characters that stay in the background a lot. I forgot to add Misao when I was listing favorite characters, but I think her voice being quite similar to Kari's is pretty neat.

Napoleon De Cheese,

Yutaka and Minami feel like they tried just way too hard to be cute and Moe.
I think it is much easier to argue that that is the case for Yutaka than Minami. I think "cool" describes Minami much better than cute. However, if you are talking about how they interact with each other then I probably can agree with you a bit. I would call that being good friends rather than being moe or cute, but I might just be weird.

Arha,

I kinda liked Yutaka, but Minami was boring.
I can see how you might feel that way. My mileage probably varied quite a bit in terms of opinions of Lucky Star characters anyway. I doubt I have very mainstream opinions there. For example, I am not a big fan of Konata and I prefer most of the cast members that are introduced later on to the ones that appear from the beginning.

Yutaka and Minami are a classic Moe Couplet in the Chiyo-and-Sakaki mode, only with added yuri subtext (courtesy Hiyori).

That's the reason I like them. I also, however, like them as individual characters.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.

Lucky Star was one of those shows where I liked almost every character.

At first the only one I didn't think much of was Miyuki, she didn't stand out much in my mind, even compared to Ayano. But I felt she stands out better when you don't have to measure her up against too many others. She gets plenty of fun scenes on her own, its just when you put her in a group that the spotlight shines greater on others.

@Guy In White: Konata (and Misao) showed up in one of my dreams before I saw the series, too. It was a dream about the X-Men fighting dinosaurs in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

I guess it is.

^ You know what's weird is that totally sounded like a normal X-men comic except for the Lucky Star characters.

I'm rewatching the first episode. I seem to have forgot why I liked the show in the first place but I am quickly being reminded again.

@Parable: Well, it also contained the mind-melting bizarreness that was me complaining to some dude about X-Men Origins Wolverine...while Wolverine was in the room.

I guess it is.

Nope, still normal for an X-men comic.

Konata. X-men fangirl?

..oh god, the Lucky Star dream. evil grin I came on this thread for completely unrelated reasons, only to be reminded of that. It's right up there with that Snakes On A Plane dream with Dragonball Z characters in it for no reason.

Anyway, as for the unrelated reasons: I just realized that there were actually some characters in the manga that didn't make it into the anime. Wasn't there something about a closeted otaku school council girl?

The anime only covered so much. Many characters were left out or I think weren't even around when the show finished.

Oh man, just started watching this last week, got hooked on it, and now I'm up to episode 21 and haven't done any school work at all! I really like how many Haruhi references are in this anime, one of my friends was telling me about how the series is like a huge advertisement for HS, especially episode 16.

Also is it just me or does english Kanata sound like Jennifer Tilly?

They're all dead and the world of Lucky Star is Hell for all of them. Well, except for Konata, Hiyori, Patty, and that other otaku from the manga who didn't appear in the anime adaption.
