x4 So...he starts out as a kid?
An annoying kid. A tiny Naruto except he lacks any sort of grand idea, so he's just annoying (unlike Naruto, who is at least interesting even when he's annoying).
I don't hate him, but Konohamaru has never really been a cool guy by any stretch of the imagination

And the mindset that he couldn't get better because?
Well it's been years at this point.....
Konohomaru should be another Nawaki/Dan aka a guy that wanted to be Hokage but died before he could ever accomplish his dream.
That might be less embarrassing for him then living to old age and never becoming Hokage unless it's really forced because I really can't see him as the future Eight Hokage.
Characters like Sasuke, Shikamaru or Sakura would be more natural successors at this point than Konohomaru if Naruto were to die tomorrow.
And because Naruto is likely to live a long time and is still young, I'm going to go ahead and guess that Sarada Uchiha is going to be the Eighth Hokage rather than Konohomaru.

I don't know, was Tsunade stepping down so Kakashi could be the Sixth forced? Or Mei stepping down for Chojoro (or whatever his name is)? Maybe, but even so that proves that Kishimoto is willing to do it. Ah, but Kishimoto isn't the one writing now, yes? Well then, who knows.
Lol Kakashi's reign as hokage is mostly offscreen.
Btw what ever happened to him
I feel Mei stepping down absolutely was fucking forced. What has sword boy even shown?
Same goes for Onoki's grandaughter, at least have his son in charge, or give her Jinton.
She's probably in her 50s now right?
I don't mind Onoki's granddaughter becoming kage, Onoki obviously needed to retire and it prevents it from being a boy's club.
Sword boy definitely needed a better set up though.
Swordboy forced Black Zetsu to retreat fdom the kidnap Daimyo plot during the war.
Meanwhile in Bolt:Then n he makes a bunch of Chuuni edgelords collapse upon themselves without event using his sword.
While Onokis grandaughter gets taken out by some Artificial Human her granddad made.

Whatís bad for swordboy is that heís still in his original outfit so I canít stop associating him with being the lackey of a Kage instead of actually being a Kage.
Thatís the issue when you promote previously lackey characters to Kage level. Because they were not originally designed to be Kageís they come across as underwhelming to the actually originally designed Kage.
Hey he wasn't just a lackey.
He was her bodyguard!
I feel like the requirements for becoming a kage got severely lighter in this new era of peace. It has become more common to see them merely stepping down after a few years nowadays. I don't see Chojuro as a kage-level fighter, but maybe the villages don't think they need to be that strong anymore, I think it is more like just a political position nowadays.
Actually legitimate question what did happen to kakashi. I dont remeber where he went
Considering how being Kage requires doing a shit-ton paperwork & bureaucracy even before the time of peace, them having to be the most powerful Ninja is rather unnecessary.
Like they canít even just pass the paperwork to someone else, they have to actually do it themselves. Due to how most ninja are essentially soldiers, the shift to politics in being a Kage must be very confusing.

Remember that while Tsunade looked young, she was old and her fight with Madara took much from her. Stepping down to let Kakashi be Hokage is not that strange a decision for her, especially as she only ever became one out of necessity. With Kakashi now having shown his worth in the 4th war, he was finally an acceptable Hokage. And while he too did not do it as his dream, he's a lot younger than Tsunade.
But yea, Chojuro shows himself a competent fighter, but nothing really shows he has the competence to lead.
Eh I think that might just be Shikamaru being scummy or Naruto being an idiot, Shizune did a lot of Tsunade and Kakashi's paperwork didn't she?
Didnít Sarutobi complain about having to do paperwork?
probably had Oro and Minato do his paperwork
I don't recall hiruzen doing all that much paperwork.
Also keep in mind that the Konoha Crush massively weakened Konoha and massively increased the workload of the Ninja and thus the complexity of operations.
And in Narutos era, not only is there still the paperwork but international cooperation, a far larger village and far more complicated technology means that Narutos workload is greater than Tsunades
Of course part of it is that the Hokage has way too much responsibility. The clans apparently used to have a lot more influence, so the Hokage had less to do, and the situation of the village has only grown more complex with time.
So Hokage being buried in work mostly seems to be a recent thing

Does Naruto just sign the paperwork as Hokage or does he need to outright draw them up himself.
Out of the new Kages though, Kurotsuchi is the only one I'm worried about. Darui's GOAT, Naruto and Gaara need no explanation, and Chojuro at least fended off Urashiki with Gaara's help. Kurotsuchi should've done way more in that arc or at least helped out her grandfather in that final battle.
He's retired from active duty but he hangs around the village to advise Naruto and helps out with the village every once in a while like being a Konoha representative to other villages or acting as a proctor for the Chunin Exams.
People are shown bringing in stacks of paper. So presumably he has to read and sign off everything.
Kakashi deserves his retirement.
