That is a pretty good video.

It's kind of funny I, and I'm pretty sure most people focused on the audacity of the Cloud Village, but I never really thought of the basic ways they could kill Hiyashi (assuming it even makes sense to give in to the Cloud's demands) and still keep the Byakugan safe.

I'm honestly surpised that I never noticed that Naruto never got a good hit on either Kiba or Neji despite the extreme amount of pain he got from each of them.

Yeeesh Naruto really was a poor combatant.

Yeah, that was a real eye opener. I knew part 1 Naruto wasn't good at fighting but paying attention to his record like that shows you how sad it was.

So, apparently...

Doesnt even include his job as a waitress and him congratulating Naruto and Hinata on the wedding.

That video reminded me how utterly stupid the thing with Cloud village was. Hiruzen truly was the worst Hokage.

the Cloud is kinda the most competent village around tho

Only because everyone else bends over backwards to cater to their idiotic demands

The Cloud nearly started a new war to get itself wrecked to violate a peace treaty. Not the best judgement there.

And y'know, their militarism driving other villages closer to Akatsuki. And the constant experiments with the Eight Tails that kept nearly wiping them out.

The whole Hyuga/Cloud thing was made long before actual Cloud ninja & the Cloud Village in general was introduced though.

Was the Hyuga thing even brought up when they finally came into the fold?

Briefly. Kakashi reminds the Raikage that they swallowed their pride and knuckled under when they could've made the Cloud pay immensely.

Weirdly, the Rock Lee spinoff made it a bigger thing.

Do we know which Raikage was in power for that? 3rd or 4th?

I think it's brought up once or twice.

I meant "most competent" in terms of military power anyway. If Hiruzen couldn't tell them back in Part 1 flashbacks to go screw themselves with their demands, it's kinda obviously implying that the Cloud is pretty powerful.

Kushina was 3rd Ay, Hinata was 4th I believe.

Yep. A III died in the third war. A IV was the one for the Hyuga incident. In military might, the Cloud is very, very strong.

Clearly the Cloud should do a future Hokage spouse business.

Hiruzen is such an idiot. If Cloud was willing to go to war over their own treacherous plot not working, they'd have gone to war soon anyway. I mean seriously, I don't think even Cloud expected Leaf to even pretend they'd meet their demand. They probably did that as a form of diplomatic posturing when caught red handed, and were super fucking confused when Hiruzen folded.

But they didn't go to war?

Its a testment to Sasuke's unlikeabilty that the Raikage IMMEDIATELY shot up to pretty much number one fave character for a lot of people when he tried to have Sasuke killed. LOL.

I think a good compromise would have been Naruto shooting down the Raikage "Yeah right. Like you have ANY right to make demands after what you did to the Hyuga. Fuck Off." But no, Naruto is a sap.

Yeah, that's the point. Cloud was bluffing, Leaf fell for it, sent them a corpse and then patted themselves on the back because it wasn't the one Cloud wanted.

Its a REALLY stupid point then.
