Yougakudan no Rekishi ~ Akyu's Untouched Score

  • Epileptic Trees: The implication that the PC-98 soundtracks exist in-universe as Yougakudan's work has led some fans to theorize that the plots themselves of the PC-98 games exist as in-universe stories, being either embellished accounts of the actual events (going with the official stance that the PC-98 era is canon except for any details contradicted by Windows) or entirely fictional (for those who have a Fanon Discontinuity view towards PC-98). Proponents of this theory often also use it to explain Reimu, Marisa, Yuuka and Alice's Early Installment Character-Design Difference, as well as any perceived differences in their respective personalities; attributing those to unreliable narration of the events.
  • Fan Nickname: The collection is sometimes jokingly referred to as "Akyuu's Touched Score", due to how the volume for the first game uses the arrangements from Mystic Square rather than the original versions, the idea being that the latter are the actual "untouched" versions of the tracks; this also happens with the Stage 4 and Stage 5 themes in the volume containing the second game's soundtrack.
