  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: The main criticism for this game is its extremely sparse content. The score attack mode lasts around 5-10 minutes and shows you practically everything the game has to offer; the other modes are just slight variations on that. Once you've tried out the different modes, all you've got left to do is try to improve your high score or play in multiplayer. It's essentially a Mini-Game that would be offered as a side mode in another game, but packaged as a standalone title and sold for the same price as a full game. It could have worked just fine as an Arcade game of old or even as a DSiWare title had the platform released at the time, but as a standalone full priced Nintendo DS game it didn't stand a chance.
  • So Okay, It's Average: If you can give the game a chance and enjoy it for the short Arcade-like simplistic Tech-Demo Game experience it is, it can be a fun little puzzle game retelling some of the events of Yoshi's Island with good graphics, music, and creative gameplay; albeit not a particularly memorable very short one and with No Ending.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: It would have been nice if the game also adapted the final battle and ending from Yoshi's Island instead of only being a very short game with No Ending, and would have helped it stand out from only being a simplistic Tech-Demo Game.
