  • Funny Moments: The end of 5 has both the protagonist and the boss, as superpowered ghosts, pausing their fight to look at the paramedics taking their bodies away. The animation then ends with the two of them running after the ambulance.
  • I Am Not Shazam: No, Xiao Xiao is never stated to be the protagonist's actual name (in fact, he's never named at all); it's an abbreviation of the first installment's Foreign Language Title.
  • Sequel Displacement: The first episode, with its choppy framerate, stiff animation, and being an .avi file instead of the soon-to-be-explosively-popular .swf format, is understandably quite obscure, and the second is a fairly run-of-the mill QTE game/animation. Xiao Xiao 3 proceeded to blow them both out of the water and catapult into online fame.
  • That One Level: The crusher level in No. 6. The crushers move very slowly once their levers are pulled and the victim instantly reacts to your actions. There's a reason it won Newgrounds's "Turd of the Week" award.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: The note-for-note Shout-Out to The Matrix at the end of Part 3 firmly cements it as being made in that brief window where you could do that and not have the audience instantly roll their eyes.
