  • Breather Level: Any week in wrestling mode that doesn't have a match. Sure, you don't get paid, but it allows you to recover from injury and focus on training.
  • Complacent Gaming Syndrome: Getting the Creative Control clause on your contracts, as it allows you to always reject the booker's attempts to force you into changing your carefully-crafted outfit and moveset.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Accidentally killing a fellow wrestler by piledriving them too hard? Tragic. Their head being torn off from the neck, then turning into a perfectly shaped chunk of meat? Hilarious. Eating said chunk in front of the crowd? Absolute cinema.
  • Game-Breaker: In wrestling mode, having a team member in non-team matches, or a manager, will give you a controllable ringside wrestler in every match. Sure, they will briefly lose their ability to fight if they stay in the ring for too long (with the referee attacking them for extra encouragement), but the timer is generous, allowing you to easily distract the referee or break submissions on your main wrestler. It also makes it trivial to win matches by throwing out your opponent, then taking over the ringside wrestler and fighting them until they get disqualified.
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • The Court update was widely lambasted among the community upon it's arrival, with many saying how unfair it was and how often it screwed over the player's contracts, their win rates, and even outright replacing matches on the card.
    • When roaming in Empire, using a vending machine can rarely cause it to explode. You get no warning or time to run away before the explosion, so you'll inevitably use a decent chunk of your health, potentially landing you in a hospital if you were already badly hurt.
  • That One Disadvantage: A contract with the Enhancement Talent clause, which makes you a Jobber who only gets paid for losing. Not only does this mean that your salary is only half of what's listed (since the clause does not remove the penalty for losing), it also means that either your popularity gets tanked by constant losses, or you don't get paid at all if you prefer to win instead.
