- Awesome Music: To be expected from a band who has a sound similar to Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. "Woman", "Dimension", "Cosmic Egg" and especially "Joker and the Thief" are all superb hard rock tunes.
- First Installment Wins: Their first album is their most successful and acclaimed. Not to mention that it was their only album before turning into The Andrew Stockdale Show.
- Signature Song: "Woman," and perhaps "Joker and the Thief" as well.
- Song Association:
- You can't deny that including "Woman" in the setlist of Guitar Hero II and in the soundtracks of Saints Row 2 (in the game's heavy metal station, with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God and As I Lay Dying), Tony Hawk's Project 8, and Madden NFL 07 greatly helped Wolfmother's career. Also, the games made it into one heck of an ear worm.
- "Dimension" appeared in Project Gotham Racing 4 and FlatOut 2. It was also memorably used as a leitmotif in an episode of House, playing whenever the titular morose doctor was in a dream.
- "Joker and the Thief" instead, has appeared in Need for Speed: Carbon, as part of the playlist for muscle cars (mostly hard rock), and in the intro video for Samson, one of the character's possible crewmates (once he's unlocked), along with being in Jackass 2, with the cast even being heavily featured in the music video. It also ended up being used as the title screen theme for LEGO DC Super-Villains - it is, after all, a game in which The Joker and quite a few thieves heavily feature.
