Wolfboy and the Everything Factory

Go To

  • Jerkass Woobie: Xandra is the most offstandish and aggressive of the main cast, treating Wolfboy and later Seth with strong disdain. Upon learning of her parents being killed and her struggling with her loss, her behavior begins to make a lot more sense.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Serebrin wasn't likable beforehand, but he crosses it when trying to kill Wolfboy and Seth.
    • Nyx crosses it when she reveals her ultimate plan involves killing all humanity. To hammer it in, the main cast, who at this point have learned to see conflicts in shades of gray, see her as unquestionably evil.
  • What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: For a show targeting 6-12 year old kids, the themes of genocide, trauma, and betrayal combined with increasingly violent scenarios makes one wonder how it could get away with a TV-Y7 rating.
  • The Woobie: Wolfboy ends up getting bullied by everyone no matter where he goes just for being weird. This causes him to grow up without any friends until he enters the Spryte realm. Even then, it turns out he's the Chosen One of a prophecy, resulting in him being taken advantage of, frustrating him greatly. Even trying to find answers leads to dead ends, as rarely anything is told to him straight, causing trust issues to emerge. Then comes the fact that this is a lot of responsibility for a child, and that he doesn't feel prepared or worthy. Though he does overcome these issues and solves every problem, it's still easy to feel bad for him during each trial that he faces.
