- Ho Yay: One particularly tender scene in Season 2 has led some fans to interpret Percival and Geniest as gay. In the dead of night, Percival's ghost visits a sleeping Geniest. He tries to reach out to touch him, only for his hand to phase right through his cheek.
- Platonic Writing, Romantic Reading: Despite ØREØ’s statements that her stories will not contain romance, many fans interpret Aurora and Percival as being in love due to their extreme loyalty and protective feelings for each other, as well as the prevalence of the All Girls Want Bad Boys trope in Gacha Life stories making the rebellious Percival come off as a love interest to trope-savvy viewers.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: While the narrative itself primarily frames Agatha as a sympathetic pawn in Elizabeth’s plans, her "Being Good Sucks" attitude can come across as extremely self-centered, and her shortsighted use of dark magic without a thought for how it would reflect on other witches can make her more positive portrayal in later episodes feel unwarranted.
