- Accidental Innuendo: In 'Lightrock Fortress', Bloom encounters a trial involving fake versions of Aisha and Musa getting captured and trapped in a slime fort. However, the two of them are caught wrapped in tentacle-like slime and their sounds of distress comes across as moaning, which gave the scene some sexual undertones.
- Ascended Fanon: Fanfics about Bloom having a long-lost twin who also wielded the Dragon Flame had been around since Season 1 of the original series. Granted, they were usually another girl...
- Awesome Music: Even those who dislike this show will admit that "Step Into The Dark
" by ili is an excellent Villain Song for the Trix. That it's the first time the Trix have gotten their own theme song within a WinxVerse series since "Mean Girls Rule" from the 4Kids dub of the original series only makes it that much more impressive. - Captain Obvious Reveal: Even before the series came out, many people were quick to figure out that Bloom and Damien were long lost twins. Reasons being that they were the only redheads with blue eyes in the show so far, and Damien having fire powers was revealed early.
- Designated Hero:
- With the Adaptational Early Appearance of Diaspro, Bloom is now willingly pursuing Sky despite knowing that he is already taken, unlike in the original series where she was caught up in a Love Triangle without her knowledge. What's worse is that the rest of the Winx enable this further by teasing Bloom about it as well, and this clear encouragement of cheating is never brought into question. On top of it all, Sky’s receptiveness to these advances, sometimes even right in front of Diaspro, make him look like a skeeze of a boyfriend compared to the original where, while still in the wrong for keeping Bloom in the dark about Diaspro, he came off as more of a young man caught between his duty to an arranged marriage and a girl he actually liked. Overall, the whole thing comes off less as a Star-Crossed Lovers situation and more like a deliberate attempt to romanticize cheating and infidelity.
- There is also the fact that in "Stella's New Crush", Bloom convinces Brandon to follow Stella on her date, and Tecna admits to putting a tracker on Stella (something she also does to Bloom in 'A New Enemy'). While this is meant to show that the girls care about Stella's safety, the fact that she wasn't aware of what is essentially invasion of her privacy is morally questionable. Plus, Stella already agreed to letting the girls know where she is while on her date. The only reason Bloom and Brandon following her and Tecna tracking her isn't framed as bad is because Stella's date ended up being a ploy by the Trix.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The 4Kids dub of "Save The First Dance" had a line about a prince liking Flora. According to the reboot, her prince has finally come in Damien. To some extent, the debate during the original series if Flora was a princess or not...
- Improved Second Attempt:
- Fans generally hated Stella's title going from "Fairy of the Sun and Moon" to "Fairy of the Shining Sun" in the English versions of original series, as it severely downplays the lunar motif which she shares with her mother. The reboot series now shows that she has reverted to her original title, with the moon being prominently featured in her transformation sequence.
- Fans of the original series also complained about Mirta not being welcomed into the group or appearing in any of the spin-offs. The fact that the witches are now attending Alfea made Mirta's exclusion feel all the more cruel in the reboot. However, the implication that Damien is the series' version of Mirta, right down to the armbands suggests the showrunners haven't completely forgotten her.
- For those who hated Riven’s Jerkass personality and his toxic romance with Musa in the original series, this series made him an Adaptational Nice Guy, which is notable in his kinder interactions with Musa.
- It's Short, So It Sucks!: A major complaint regarding the first episode is that it tries to do too much in a 22 minute runtime, such as Bloom running into both Stella and Flora in Gardenia, saying goodbye to her parents, and going to Alfea, all of which happened over 2 episodes in the original series.
- Memetic Mutation: "Aisha, fairy of waves. You'll find my name on the food in the fridge." Explanation
- Special Effect Failure: The series has been heavily criticized for its especially awkward animation and artistic design choices, with some movements looking especially slow and floaty and certain parts of the background and even props looking like they were run through Midjourney. This is especially bad considering that the teaser shown at Napoli Comicon in April 2024 displayed much better and smoother animation that was almost movie quality and was promised to be used for the final product.
- Tainted by the Preview:
- There are some fans that dislike the reboot's art direction, with the characters having big eyes and more rounder features that all look barely different from each other. The reason being is that Winx Club had a very recognisable art style that made it stand out at the time and referenced Japanese manga and Sergio Bonelli, while also having similarities to fashion model sketches, which felt appropriate for a fashion-driven show. By replacing the art style for something more akin to Disney, as well as identical to season 8 of Winx Club, is rather disappointing.
- There was also the fact that fans were put off by how Musa's Asian features in particular were erased and/or downplayed, especially since that wasn't the case in the early concept art, making her similar to Marinette Dupain-Chengnote . Plus judging from the episode 'The Simulation Room' where her home appears to have Chinese influences like in the original, alongside the "We Are The Winx" music video, where she is portrayed by an Asian woman, and her voice actress in the English dub is also Asian, Musa is still meant to be Asian.

- They Changed It, So It Sucks: The reboot series has been met with a large amount of backlash, especially from older fans of the franchise, due to the numerous changes and additions it made that left a sour taste in fans’ mouths. Such changes include:
- A caste system that looks down on all witches and implies that people with dark appearances are automatically evil.
- Scrapping the Asian Helia and Black Nabu and instead making Flora and Aisha’s love interests white boys (Damien and a currently unnamed young man, respectively). Though Flora and Damien's relationship could be seen as a throwback to Flora and Mirta's friendship in the original series.
- Speaking of Damien, revealing him to be Bloom’s twin brother and another keeper of the Dragon Flame has been met with derision due to it making Bloom suffer Uniqueness Decay from her previously established status within the franchise as the Last of Her Kind and/or a MacGuffin Super-Person.
- Making Bloom’s father Oritel the previous keeper of the Dragon Flame instead of Daphne (along with a few other key changes that swaps the focus from the female cast to the male cast).
- Turning Kiko from a pet bunny who Bloom loved more than anything into a simple plush toy that she rejects on sight.
- A lot of fans complained about changing two moments where Bloom hated something and reacted negatively, as it reduces character flaws, and by extension, her being a more realistic teenager. In the first episode she gets a bicycle, but while the reboot has her react positively, the original had her weakly thank her parents then make a face, indicating that she wanted either a car or a scooter. Then she is impressed by Magixia when first visiting the city, unlike the famous scene in the original series in which she's quite disappointed that it looked like a futuristic Magitek city and isn't filled with gnomes and magic wand shops.
