- Common Knowledge: Due to an error made in the handwriting of the Little Big Trio's introductory post, Gvozden is often wrongly referred to as "Gvozdeh". It's become a pervasive enough mistake that u/fanimal16 (the LBT's creator) themselves have made a statement
clarifying the issue. - Ensemble Dark Horse: Bone Guy, whose creator has so far only made two comics depicting him, has become popular enough within the community to appear in a number of cartoons by other people.
- Fan Nickname: The main three characters, prior to being given official names, were typically referred to as "Wing Guy", "Wolf/Tail Guy", and "Shell Girl". The latter name was even used by the creator of the comic in the title of one post
. - Hilarious in Hindsight: The very first comic has Robin saying "Man, what I wouldn't give on a day like this to have a pair of wings," before being granted such a pair. The creator would then wind up giving the name "Man" to their deity figure, retroactively turning what was originally a casually-stated wish into a full-on prayer of sorts. Seems like the guy really wanted those wings.
- Ho Yay: Robin and Doug, based on some of their interactions with each other. A couple of contributors to the comic have even gone so far as to make the ship official.
- I Am Not Shazam: At least one person
has called the main character "Wingstix", despite the fact that by the time this post was made, his name had already been canonized as Robin. Even prior to this, he was far more commonly referred to simply as "Wing Guy". - Popular with Furries: Inevitably, given the webcomic's central theme being shapeshifting and it having a number of Funny Animal characters, a significant percentage of the comic's fans and its contributors are furries. Notably, many of these people discovered it from crossposts of the comic and associated material made to various furry subreddits and to Fur Affinity.
- Viewer Gender Confusion:
- Petunia from the "Wingstix on the Moon" saga, despite explicitly being referred to with male pronouns by other characters, is initially mistaken by most viewers as female due to his Gender-Blender Name and the feminine-looking pink flower he wears on his head (that, after a Painful Transformation, also winds up fused with him).
- Prior to "Attention to Canon
", which updated his appearance and gave him an official name, Doug was mistaken by a couple of viewers as female, with one very early piece of artwork
even depicting him as such.
