Dieter turns out to be a Graceful Loser after Peter defeats him in the third round. After the match Dieter insists that they continue to practice together so Peter's routine won't be disrupted now that he's so close to winning the tournament. Peter is obviously touched by his friend sticking with him.
After winning the final match, Peter gives his racket to the ball boy who had been at most of his matches and got hit in the face by Jake's serve early in the final match.
They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: When Wimbledon changed the composition of the grass used on their courts, it significantly slowed the ball down after a bounce (while also making the bounces higher), thus rendering the serve-and-volley style of tennis suboptimal, and it fairly quickly went extinct for the most part.
