  • Annoying Video Game Helper: The tutorial sun creature often reminds you that you can retreat your fighters back into your deck to restore their health, when most of the time, you'll be keeping them on the battlefield as long as possible to maximize damage. This gets grating when your deck is built around healing synergies, saving you from retreating fighters.
  • Awesome Music: The Wildfrost soundtrack isn't the largest, but what is in it is amazing.
  • Breather Boss: Let's be honest. Truffle is a pushover. Sure, it sounds dangerous at a first glance, until you realize literally every enemy here is from one of the possible second fights. The only significant threat here is Puffball if Truffle's been split enough, but Puffball has so little health that nearly any deck is capable of using an item to kill it. To make matters better for the player is that, due to Truffle's splitting ability, racking up a big combo is easy - especially if your best damaging cards have Barrage or, best of all, happen to be Nova and hit all.
  • Cheese Strategy: Frost Crusher when unfrozen is a dangerous and fast attacking threat that can quickly stack up horrifying damage. However, his fatal flaw of no Snow Resist means that you can throw on some good Snow items and he'll be unable to attack for a while. Of particular note is Snowcake, which makes him unable to attack for what would be FIVE CYCLES. You can also significantly weaken an attack from the Frost Bomber by, ironically enough, using a Frost-applying item.
  • Demonic Spiders: Prepare to suffer.
    • Smogs give your team Aimless while they exist. This is already bad, but combined with the fact that the fight they're in severely punishes attacking a lot means that they can easily be huge threats. Killing Smogs quickly makes the whole ordeal of the Toothy Shades significantly easier.
    • Any enemy with an even remotely threatening damage stat and Barrage can be very dangerous as they pose a large threat to low health companions such as Snoffel and Yuki. Particularly notable is Bigfoot who has 5 damage, decent health and counter, and Barrage, but worst of all appears in the Wooly Drek fight. If the Woolly Drek manages to devour a Bigfoot, things will get much worse.
    • Warthogs have a great amount of health of 18, decent damage, have Wild, but worst of all have Smackback, meaning you basically need to have them frozen unless you want to die. One of these could genuinely pass off as a Tundra miniboss, and MULTIPLE appear in the Wild Hogs fight.
  • Difficulty Spike: The Tundra bosses are generally the part of a run when things get hard. The first fights are pretty much impossible to lose if you don't get too greedy while the second fights are usually easy enough with whatever things you picked up. However, you'll need a pretty decent strategy at this point if you want Infernoko to not crush your companions quickly or Bamboozle to not inevitably defeat your leader.
  • Game-Breaker: As a roguelike, having these is inevitable.
    • Nova might sound awful, and they admittedly are at first. However, get some more block, some damage boosting, spice, and frenzy, or simply just the right charms and Nova becomes an absolute MONSTER. Of particular note is that they make getting large combos trivial. Most common enemies have 15 or less health, even in the endgame, and the worst scenario is that you have to fight the Ice Krabs or Krunker. Even then, all of the regular enemies in these fights will only have 3 Scratch Damage hitpoints.
    • A few particular charms can be ridiculous. These include Truffle Charm due to being (at worst) a loss of 2 health for 6 damage, Durian Charm on the right item due to removing both positive and negative effects in exchange for +4 damage, Spark Charm and Sunglass Charm on the right companion due to fast activation, and Hog Charm for giving a massive health boost in exchange for a mechanic which isn't all that useful usually anyway.
  • Good Bad Bugs: As shown in this video, all cards used to be free to play before playing the leader. This only really mattered if you had a trashing card and any card with synergy with Junk. However, it REALLY matters in this video, with Skoottie managing to defeat the True Final Boss in a single attack from Mini Mika. And he didn't even go all out, either.
  • That One Boss: In the True Final Boss, the Frost Lancer has incredible health, high damage, aimless (meaning no one is safe), and Snow Resist. They don't attack often, but when they do pray they don't hit your leader.
