  • Awesome Music: Complicated rhythm game music such as EDM tends to be very same-sounding and loud, Matt completely averts it with some wonderful tracks.
    • Ruckus, Wiik 1's second song, is where the mod actually begins to pick up in difficulty. The quick jacks that have you alternating between notes are extremely satisfying to both hear and listen to.
    • Target Practice is the song that comes next and subject to an amount of Oh, Crap! moments after players notice how quickly Girlfriend's head is shaking. Who would've thought Matt and BF's voice would sound so good at such a speed?
    • Sporting, the first song to Wiik 2, has Matt take his gloves off entirely, much slower than Target Practice, but even more intense than it. The instrumental version is absolute fire.
    • Boxing Match is the final Matt song for Wiik 2, fairly similar to the previous song in terms of structure but with a tougher and less upbeat instrumental.
  • Memetic Mutation: "Sam, Sam! SAM I TURNED MYSELF INTO A BANANA! SAM I TURNED MYSELF INTO A BANANA, I'M BANANALED!"Explanation
  • Sequel Difficulty Drop: Eteled and Austin's songs are easier than Matt's due to lower BPMs and relatively slower songs overall. The two can even lampshade this in one of their game over quotes.
Eteled: You're telling me you beat Matt, but not me?
Austin: You're telling me you beat Matt, but lost to me?
  • That One Attack: "Boxing Match" has a beatdrop that starts with an easy pattern, however as the verse goes on it gets more and more complex until it becomes a massive barrage of all 4 arrows in a spinning fashion that will get you killed if you aren't ready or fast enough.Want to know the pattern? Even worse is that you'll have to do it not once, but twice in the song, and it the second time you'll have to do it two times in a row.
  • Unexpected Character: Many people just didn't expect Eteled from the rather forgotten creepypasta of Wii Deleted You to return to life as one of the upcoming characters revealed in the Funkin' Forward trailer. Even more unexpected was Austin, from the same creepypasta, appearing as the final opponent for the mod.
