- Breather Level: The Haunted Pier area of Habitation lacks hostile entities or an advancing instakill chasing the player, allowing the player to take their time and get some breathing room. This area is between the Service Shaft, which has the player periodically attacked by Teeth, and Delta Labs, which is filled with hostile entities like Vent Things and Turrets.
- Goddamned Bats: Bloodbugs are Airborne Mooks that act as Ledge Bats which don't deal too much damage to the player, but cause Knock Back upon hitting them. This is annoying if you're on level ground, and can be downright lethal if you're hanging onto something. They take three hits to die from a hammer, which can waste your time if you really want them gone.
- Low-Tier Letdown: The Pulse Bladder perk (not to be confused with the very useful Pulse Organ) is unanimously considered the worst perk in the game, as it is actively detrimental. It provides a Double Jump like Pulse Organ, but Pulse Bladder comes at the cost of stamina drain for every jump you make, not just airborne jumps. This severely kneecaps your mobility and ability to climb, as you need to jump very often.
- That One Level: The Pipe Organ subsection of Pipeworks is a frequent subject of community disdain, due to the hot steam vents that will damage the player and make them lose their grip, should they get too close.
