  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Unable to stop a Kull warrior through physical force, Daniel burns it alive inside its indestructible armour, and is horrified that he was capable of something like that afterwards.
    • When Daniel wakes up from his period of self-imposed suspended animation and learns that he was assumed to be dead, Jack inspires disturbing thoughts when he brings up the idea of Janet performing an autopsy on Daniel while he was still alive, and Janet makes it worse when she graphically describes what might have happened if someone had started the procedure.
    • As Daniel’s powers grow, the idea of him being taken as a host by a Goa’uld becomes this to the rest of the SGC; in the course of the series, Osiris, Ba’al and Anubis each try to take control of him.
      • Anubis uses this fear when he infiltrates the SGC, taking control of General Hammond and issuing a fake order that Anubis has taken Daniel as his latest host so that Daniel is now being hunted by his own allies. The concept was terrifying enough on a superficial level, but add in the possibility that Anubis could have used Daniel's ability to heal to prevent his possession damaging Daniel's body like it did all of his past hosts...
  • Tear Jerker: Earth’s victory over Anubis after the Battle of Antarctica should be a happy moment, but SG-1’s joy is marred by Daniel’s apparent death. Once Daniel has been left in the morgue, the other three go off to grieve in their own way, Sam crying in Daniel's office for hours while Jack throws things around his office and then slumps to the ground and Teal'c reflects on his memories of Daniel. They're only broken out of their bleak moods when Janet visits the morgue a few hours later and realises that Daniel isn't dead after all, but just put himself in a deep self-induced coma to process the Ancient knowledge in his mind and store it in his subconscious.
