- Accidental Aesop: Keep committing to your therapy even after one setback. Bruce goes to Sam's therapy sessions but after turning into The Hulk during a storm, he decides to quit the therapy sessions and separate The Hulk from himself, essentially causing the events of the episode to happen.
- Alternative Character Interpretation: As the combination sequences starts, Marc Spector goes "Yeah, teamwork! Who knew?" Is it a comment about how they're going to work together as giant mecha? Or, if this is Jake Lockley fronting (which is never stated given the captions calling him "Spector" but has Jake's Brooklyn accent), is he being sarcastic? Or, given how in the Sacred Timeline Jake is a loner, he's just not used to working in a team?
- Inferred Holocaust: The Gamma Beasts are shown destroying several parts of North America, with only a smattering of people shown reacting to the carnage. Given how numerous and strong the Gamma Beasts are though, it's entirely possible that civilization is only barely hanging on in the face of the monsters.
- Older Than They Think: A Godzilla-like Hulk and the Avengers piloting a Combining Mecha? Marvel Mangaverse was one of, if not the earliest examples of this. New Avengers vol 5 also had multi pilot mech called the Avenger 5 which the team used to battle Todd Zilla, the American Kaiju.
- Shallow Parody: While fans of the show might be amazed at what had been created, it's another story entirely for the reactions from the Mecha fandom. A lot of them found the episode's homages to be bare-bones, uninteresting, and shallow, with the combination sequence in particular being seen as a huge point of contention, as it focuses more on the pilots talking during the sequence instead of the actual combination itself.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Fans moaned that the opening sequence of the Go-Avengers animated series didn't go for longer.
- Unexpected Character: No one expected Oscar Isaac to return as Moon Knight, seeing as there hasn't been any word on when that character will return in the MCU.
