Bakusou Kyoudai! Let's & Go!!

Go To

  • Ensemble Dark Horse: NA Astro Rangers' Jo, especially due to her relationship with Ryo in WGP.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff:
    • The anime is more popular in the Middle East than anywhere else on Earth, thanks to a combination of factors such as Arabs' love of cars and the fact that Spacetoon often promoted it, down to using the main characters as mascots for the channel. It even became a Cash-Cow Franchise there due to the toys.
    • The toys were so wildly popular in the Philippines in the early 2000s that even those who were normally averse to cars took up the fad, and the Manila Bulletin started a section dedicated to it. Interest in the toys died down in the eyes of the mainstream not long after, though there was a a resurgence in recent years, albeit at a much smaller scale compared to the "Tamiya Mania" of the late 90s and early 2000s.
    • This anime used to be very popular in Indonesia in the early 2000s era. Ask any Indonesian anime fan about whether or not they know Bakusou Kyoudai, there's a big chance they will recite the Indonesian version of anime opening lyrics, regardless of their anime taste.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: Although quite obscure and it's basically a normal (but decent) racing game instead of a Mini 4wd playing simulator, the game Eternal Wing for PlayStation has large amount of cars and varied tracks.
  • Quirky Work: Some filler episodes are plain weird, like episode 22 of WGP, where teachers and students race their minicars around the town tying bowls of soup and dried squid on their cars while avoiding cats and landmines.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion:
    • Rei Hijikata, a boy with long hair, applying lipstick and voiced by a woman. Despite this, in-universe no one ever seems to mistake him for a girl.
    • Eisen Wolf's Michael. He's a boy with a rather long yellow hair and also voiced by a woman. The fanarts of him don't help either.
