- Awesome Music: The title song
by The Remnants, which plays during the end credits, is a legitimately cool Punk Rock number with a great bass line. - Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The sheep getting obliterated by a stray rocket. It happens right in the middle of the climactic battle and is never acknowledged by anyone after it happens. This was due to it having been planned to be the culmination of running gag of a herd of aggressive sheep chasing The Boys at various points in the movie, but the subplot was ultimately axed and the lone exploding sheep was all that remained in the final cut.
- Crazy Is Cool: Derek, who is a bit nuts even before losing part of his brain, which sends him on a intestine-filled quest for revenge on the alien bastards."Suck my spinning steel, shithead!"
- Crosses the Line Twice: Derek loses a bit of his brain, chainsaws an alien to pieces, and uses a bit of its brain to replace the part he lost.
- Cult Classic: Worth watching partly to see where Peter Jackson first started, but also for just how hilariously over the top it is.
- Funny Moments: A missed shot by a bazooka gives us The Baa Bomb
. - Hilarious in Hindsight:
- The color scheme of Derek's scarf is very similar to Gryffindor's.
- The actor playing the alien chef bears a striking resemblance to an older Peter Jackson.
- The Boys' undercover car contains cardboard cutouts of The Beatles in their Sgt. Pepper attire. Peter Jackson would later direct The Beatles: Get Back.
- Moral Event Horizon: Crumb and his alien workers cross it by slaughtering an entire town.
- Nausea Fuel:
- After dropping down a cliff, Derek's skull cracks, making a part of his brain constantly fall out and he has to keep putting it back in.
- A scene where Robert vomits into a bowl and the other aliens have to drink it.
Lord Crumb (after drinking it): Oooh, aren't I lucky? I got a chunky bit!
