- Audience-Alienating Era: How some longtime fans see THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND era. While marking a turning point in the band's career and effectively propelling them to household name status in the metal and rock community, fans who loved their earlier works complain about the lack of harsh vocals and the new emphasis on clean and radio-friendly vocals and songs.
- Broken Base: Plenty.
- Noah deleting his social media accounts and wiping everything clean. While he stopped really being active around the time THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND started blowing up, plenty of fans wished he hadn't done it and at least kept up his streaming videos, which he did throughout of much of 2020, for memories sake. Noah has stated in a few interviews that everything being deleted was due to fans being invasive and creepy, but people are still split on the decision.
- THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND era itself. See Audience Alienating Era above. Should the band go back to using harsher vocals and breakdowns, or continue making radio friendly and more digestible music?
- The success of "Just Pretend". Many fans wish the song hadn't blown up, as they think it's not the band's best song in their discography. Others are fine with the song's success. Others think it's the best song the band's ever made.
- How the band handles merch. Typically, they will release a pair of bottoms, 1-2 shirts, a hoodie, some sort of accessory (bag, hat, beanie, etc.) and a vinyl variant. The time the merch will drop is usually posted on the band's socials. This often leads to website crashes, people getting to check out and the merch in their cart selling out before they can buy and other issues. Some like the timed drops, as it gives them time to plan and be ready for the merch drop. Others wish they would outsource their merch production and shipping, allowing more to be made and decrease the risk of things selling out frequently.
- The songs sung at shows. Many fans wish they would bring back older songs to mix in with their newer songs, while others are fine with the setlists how it is.
- The CONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST] album. Is it a great release to hold fans over until the next album, or a weird combination of genres and features? Self described by the band as a "reimagining" of THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND and a compliment to their comic book series, that didn't stop fans and other people from complaining that there were only a few new songs on there and even fewer with new vocals.
- The band's social media presence. In the early days of the band and before they blew up, the band would sometimes interact and comment on fan's tweets, videos and other media. Since they've blown up, they've effectively reduced their social media interactions to posting teasers, reposting content from artists' they've collaborated with, or letting people know about upcoming show dates. This upset longtime fans, who were used to the band interacting more, while others chalked it up to the price of fame and cited other bands who started out interactive and withdrew as they grew bigger.
- Noah's hair. Many miss his long hair and wish he'd grow it back out again, while others enjoy the shorter look.
- The handling of VIP at shows. VIP activities were a standard at most of their tours, though it included a Q&A and a group picture. Then, during Concrete Forever, it was announced that the pictures would be changed to individual ones. While it started out well intentioned, by the end of the tour before its' premature ending, some fans were asking for elaborate poses, autographs, tattoos to be written out and trying to give gifts when told by crew not to do so. Eventually, when the tour resumed and it was announced that VIP didn't include a photo or M&G anymore, people were...upset to say the least. Some said it was a consequence of not listening to crew members and to prevent Noah and the rest of the band from getting sick again, while others complained that they should've offered something with the band in the place of it (soundcheck/Q&A/etc.).
- The release of "V.A.N" with fellow labelmate Poppy. Only she provides vocals on the song, while the rest of the band, sans Noah, play instrumentals. Some fans lamented about the lack of Noah's vocals, while others enjoyed the fact that the other members got to shine on a track. They also pointed out that Noah helped produce the song, so he was still involved even if he didn't provide vocals. Others complained that since only Poppy sung on the song, it should've been credited as Poppy's song featuring Bad Omens.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Noah before he cut his hair. There's even some photoshoots where he and the band had eyeliner on, which really didn't help.
- Epic Riff: "V.A.N" is littered with these.
- Estrogen Brigade: See Mr. Fanservice on the main page, but more than a few male fans complain that many of the band's newer fans come from their desire to attempt to get with Noah, other band members and crew and not really out of true interest in their music or the genre.
- Fandom Rivalry: With Sleep Token, who blew up roughly around the same time they did, along with Bring Me the Horizon, whom they have been heavily influenced by. Whether it is friendly or not will depend on if the person you're talking to is a fan of the band or not.
- Friendly Fandoms: Erra, whom they are great friends with and have toured with so many times, fans will often joke you won't see one without the other on the road.
- Signature Song: "Just Pretend". It isn't platinum for no reason, after all.
- Tear Jerker: The live acoustic version of "Just Pretend" on the CONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST]:
- I'm so afraidThat the walls that I have made have locked me inI'm not okayBut I can try my best to just pretendSo will you wait me out until I let you down?So will you wait me out until I let you down?
- Nightmare Fuel: The music video for "Dethrone", which features all the band members covered in mud, sand and all sorts of other gunk while performing.
- They Copied It, So It Sucks!: How some feel about their self-titled album, where some songs sound like they came right off of Sempiternal.
