- And You Thought It Would Fail: Following the polarising reception of his Equilibrium review, he was terrified that his Seven Pounds review would garner a similar reaction. On the contrary, it's regarded as one of his best episodes and even managed to change Doug Walker's opinion on the film.
- Growing the Beard: Film Brain's general setup hasn't changed, but there's a general change in focus from the early Bad Movie Beatdown episodes and especially following the hiatus. His voice has got more relaxed, and his Screenwipe influence has become more obvious.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Based on Blade: Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and R.I.P.D., he claimed that Ryan Reynolds was kryptonite for comic book movies. Reynold's managed to turn things around with both Deadpool films with him as the lead star proved to be critical and commercial hits.
- His review on "The Art Of War 2: Betrayal" has him mocking the premise of the movie (Neil Shaw avenging the death of his childhood karate instructor) by saying "What next? The death of his pet dog?", which becomes funny after another famous and very successful action movie franchise would have its first movie being about avenging the death of the main character's pet dog.
- Also in the same review, him bringing up how Snipes said that he would like to play Blade once again, but the chances of it happening after his antics on the set of Trinity make it "not bloody likely". Yeah, about that...
- LGBT+ Periphery Demographic: Less for Fanservice (though a lot think he's a cutie), more for his hatred towards homophobia.
- Periphery Demographic: Similarly too his LGBT+ Periphery Demographic mentioned above, He also has a strong black fan base for his hatred of racism, too.
- The Woobie: Borders on this in his Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen review, when he breaks down upon seeing the infamous "enemy scrotum" scene, having an especially hostile Spoony call him out on his original written review of the film, and realizing his mistake while Spoony sarcastically speculates on the symbolism of the aforementioned scene.
