Broken Base: The Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Some fans say it was a great match between two bitter enemies while others criticize it for lasting longer than it should.
Tough Act to Follow: In contrast to previous installments, the Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was the opening match of the 2024 edition instead of the main event like it usually is. This essentially murdered the crowd, as the two of them proceeded to wrestle what was not just the match of the night, but what some consider to be the match of the year, and one of the greatest Hell in a Cell matches of all time. It completely blew the rest of the card out of the water, including the main event tag team match of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. It was so good that many declared it should've been the main event, despite the star power of the tag team match and the fact that that Bad Blood was taking place in Rhodes' hometown of Atlanta that yearnote In fact, many fans speculate it was the original main event, as it was the most advertised and built up match on the card by far, and was only bumped to the opener because WWE managed to book an appearance from The Rock at the end of the tag match at the last second.
