- Diagnosed by the Audience: Some fans believe Mahiro to be on the autism spectrum. With her speaking in a roughly montone voice and being unable to grasp social situations and being uncomfortable when having to speak to others when it's not job related. Mahiro even acknowledges she has a hard time acting like a normal person.
- Les Yay: They might fight and bicker, but Mahiro and Chisato are clearly each other's closest and most beloved companion. They fight together like a well-oiled machine and are always ready to back each other up. In one fight, an opponent comments on Mahiro having a partner being there for her and is jealous of that. Whether it's working on assassin jobs or goofing off when not on the clock, the girl's are always joined at the hip. In every story they're in, their partnership is the main highlight, and its not hard for some to get a romantic reading from their interactions.
- Special Effect Failure: Due to the dynamic nature of the finale's brawl in the first film, a dolly rail had to be covered up off-camera. But the rail is still visible from under the random debris used to cover it up.
