  • Demonic Spiders: Robots have a lot of health, and their attacks tend towards the One-Hit Kill, especially at close range. If you do enough damage they shut down briefly, giving you a chance to remove their batteries. However, the shutdown doesn't last very long, so don't be too far away when it happens. Striking the correct balance between "far enough to survive" and "close enough to get the battery" is left as an exercise for the interested player's Auto-Save file.
  • Easily Forgiven:
    • Downplayed if you help Dr. Garrow escape from Skethermoor Prison, likely shooting your way through dozens of Protocol soldiers on your way out. Captain Sims will continue to work with you, as long as you don't flat out tell him to his face that you're the one responsible for the incident, and Protocol soldiers in Casterfell Woods and Wyndham will continue to treat you as non-hostile. Skethermoor patrols, however, will now become aggressive if you approach them, just like Outlaws and Druids.
    • Captain Sims will give you free access to the Skethermoor base if you inform on some villagers. If this happens after shooting up the base, then you can peacefully return to the base and loot the bodies of the men you killed and no one will say anything.
  • Genius Bonus: At one point, actual early-1960s computer commands turn up in the dialogue and knowing what they mean hints at what some characters are up to.
  • Goddamned Bats: Swarms of wildlife, including bats, can aggressively attack you and while no one member of a swarm is that dangerous, they jump on you in numbers to whittle away your health. In some areas, they spawn endlessly until you find and destroy their nests, which can easily turn into Death by a Thousand Cuts. They're so common there's even a special grenade type to deal with them.
  • Nintendo Hard: You can die very quickly if you aren't careful, even at the lowest combat difficulty. Weak enemies can swarm you, and strong enemies can kill you in one or two hits.
  • That One Level: Medical: Not only is the lower level filled with poisonous spores, there are several Thralls to deal with, who can quickly tear you apart if you aren't wary.
