- Awesome Art: The animation is downright superb, the character designs are a perfect translation from their 2D illustrations, and the backgrounds are gorgeous and lifelike and filled with a lot of detail.
- Awesome Music: The opening credits's music.

- Harsher in Hindsight: In the French version, the lines of the exhausted Asterix when he swears to never surrender before passing out. They were said by his historic voice, Roger Carel, who voiced Asterix for the last time in this movie before his death in 2020.
- Older Than They Think: The village women fighting along men in animated adaptations. In The Twelve Tasks of Asterix, in the circus fight scene, women are present, and Impedimenta uses her Rolling Pin of Doom to bash a gladiator. Mrs Geriatrix is there too, albeit she rather uses her charms, so a gladiator Distracted by the Sexy can be knocked off by a Gaul man. It also works on bears as she is later seen waltzing with one of them.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?: Just like in the main series, the Gaul village by today's standards would be considered socialist, with no currency and mostly having trade-off out of sheer respect and kindness. Then when the Roman tourists came to the village, the shop owners start using currency, getting greedier as the time goes on, with some seeing this as critique of small business ownership.
- Asterix: You've become a bunch of greedy idiots.Unhygienix (the fish seller): Wrong! We were idiots long before!
