Assassin 33 A.D.

  • Narm: The scene where Ram climbs up the Golgotha where Jesus is crucified to tearfully beg Him to heal Amy's gunshot wound after their confrontation with Brandt and Sabeer (who are also crucified at both sides of Him in place of the two thieves) is hard to take seriously even by Christian viewers not on the target demographic's denomination, as he's making a moment about the salvation of mankind all about himself.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • A Christian time-travel movie in which the protagonists can interact with Biblical events would be okay, as series like Flying House and The Greatest Adventure: Stories from the Bible have done. However, such a premise is undermined by Islamophobic messages and fundamentalist Christian rhetoric.
    • Moreover, the fact that this movie's non-Biblical characters are on a quest to undo Jesus Christ's assassination at the hands of villainous time travelers could be a decent way to explore questions about the soul, or even have the protagonist die in Jesus' place after the terrorists took Him out at the first jump. However, it's all negated in favor of portraying the whole thing being planned by God just to redeem one of the villains, who swore off faith because his wife and daughters died in a car crash.
