- Does This Remind You of Anything?: A beautiful idyllic, Slavic country is constantly harrassed by evil invaders who use totalitarian methods - so the only hope for our pure people is to also adopt totalitarian methods. This is eerily similar to the current Russian justification for Soviet crimes against humanity.
- Complacent Gaming Syndrome:
- Targetting enemy defense - if an attack reduces it to zero, any leftover damage will carry over to health, but multiplied, meaning it is very easy to deal more damage this way than directly targetting health.
- Going into battle with a single unit with high defense and way to reduce damage (usually Thorn or Lo Pen) and nothing but ranged combatants, sending said unit as a bait and make it shrug off attacks, while arches pick out the enemies from far away to not provoke enemy AI.
- Follow the Leader: This game is identical to his inspirer The Banner Saga in terms of gameplay and graphics.
- They Copied It, So It Sucks!: Most reviewers complained about the similarities with The Banner Saga without a real improvement to the gameplay.
