- Alternate Aesop Interpretation: Was Arthur drawing the sword in the stone—Lakewood's only win at the fair—a celebration of how some problems need creative thinking and improvisation instead of brute-force study/training... or a sign of him embracing that listening to the rules is the most important thing in a competition? Remember, the Merlin actor was outright saying it'd take a "gentle hand" to draw the sword, and Lakewood lost at least half the competitions we see because they couldn't grasp the point of the fair was to think and act like medieval people would.
