- Improved Second Attempt: "D.W.'s Perfect Wish" can be thought of as a better version of "D.W.'s Very Bad Mood". Both episodes revolve around D.W. being in a bad mood, but the former episode does a better job conveying the story than the latter episode. For one, D.W.'s brattiness is toned down drastically from "Bad Mood", and she has a much more valid reason to be so upset (feeling she wasted the first four years of her life away, in contrast to simply not being invited to a birthday party). She also conveys her thoughts in a clearer and more positive manner, simply talking about her problem instead of taking her anger out on her family, therefore preventing her from coming off as Unintentionally Unsympathetic. The moral of the story isn't contradicted in any way, and it's also just plain heartwarming to see Arthur reminding his usually bratty little sister of the many feats she had accomplished over the years when she's going through Milestone Birthday Angst. For these reasons, this episode is a favourite of many fans.
