YMMV / Age of Conan

• Best Known for the Fanservice: When the game was released, the ability to adjust the breast size of female player characters raised a few eyebrows.
• Cant Unhear It: French fans of Conan the Barbarian who lamented that Daniel Beretta didn't voice Arnold Schwarzenegger in his Conan films rejoiced upon hearing him as the eponymous character in this game.
• Goddamned Bats: Absolutely everywhere in adventure zones: there are snakes, scorpions, spiders, crocodiles, wolves, wild boars, big cats, and just about every other kind of aggressive animal. At least they stop harassing you once you're at least eight levels higher than them.
• Goddamned Boss: Very prevalent in the resource zones where mini bosses will rush in and attack players trying to harvest resources. Originally conceived as a way to stop players running automated scripts to harvest resources without actively playing, they have no special tactics, nor are they particularly tough since they scale with the player's level. But they are annoying as hell by virtue of randomly interrupting resource harvesting based on a virtual dice roll.
• Scrappy Mechanic: Falling in a corner can sometimes lock you in a unescapable falling animation.
