- Common Knowledge: Some people tend to refer to this series as an adaptation of The Iliad, despite the fact that the series has not reached that poem yet.
- Designated Hero: Paris' behavior starts off arrogant (he jumps into the boxing competition when the competitors were tired out) and only gets worse as time goes on.
- Narm: When confronted by Achilles, after Achilles says that he is the grandson of the sea followed by Kyknos saying he is the son of the God of the Sea. Which leads to this one line: "With his help I'll kick your ass!"
