YMMV / Act of Aggression

• Awesome Music: The soundtrack of the game, like many features, harkens back to the golden age of RTS, and basically sounds like the best parts of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer: Generals soundtracks mashed together.
• Fandom Rivalry: Has an active (if onesided) one with fans of the Wargame series, who deride the game for not being anything like Wargame. Despite both series being made by the same developer.
• Narm: The Voice Acting in the Campaign. The actors sound completely bored with their lines.
• Special Effects Failure: The particle effects in the game, while not terrible, look rather dated, and even during the multiplayer beta the game was oft-criticized for it.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: By contrast with the particle effects, the quality of models and textures at maximum zoom easily matches the quality of models and textures from mid-2000s shooter games - in an RTS that can simultaneously have a hundred units on screen.
