A Working Man

  • Catharsis Factor:
    • Jenny breaking Artemis' neck was a long time coming, and the perfect way for Jenny to get back at her main tormentor throughout the film.
    • The cops on the Russians' payroll being engulfed in a blazing inferno.
    • EVERY time Levon kills someone, because everyone he kills is just that rotten.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: Several of the Russian mobsters make... interesting sartorial decisions.
  • Heartwarming Moments: The ending. The Garcia parents joyously reunite with their daughter, and then give Levon a great big hug out of gratitude for rescuing her.
  • Memetic Mutation: There's a game of guessing which civilian job a Retired Badass played by Jason Statham will take next after the eponymous beekeeper and construction worker here.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Bad enough to take money from the Russian Mafia, as the two dirty cops do. But returning an escaped victim of human trafficking to her captors? Nobody is shedding a tear when they get gunned down by mistake.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The moment when Jenny escapes from the traffickers and seeks safety from a police cruiser... containing the two cops the audience will recognize as being on the traffickers' payroll. It's an utterly terrifying prospect to be so completely betrayed by the people who are supposed to be protectors of the innocent, and Artemis' mocking "Miss me?" when the double-cross becomes apparent is chilling as well.
