A Timeless Story

Go To

  • Allegedly Optimistic Ending: The Good Ending leaves itself open for interpretation. Is it a happy ending because Lysander was able to turn back in time and prevent Dell's death, with Lys finally accepting his immortality? Or did Dell got Killed Off for Real and Lysander is hallucinating the whole thing? It doesn't help that it's stated several times that most of the game happens inside his head.
  • Ho Yay: Between Lysander and Dellbert. It doesn't help that Dell is Alys's grandson and Lys sees him as a Replacement Goldfish. And there's their awkward blushing around each other.
    • Even Alys ships them in the Bad Ending!
Alys: And to think that I also gave you a second chance, with my grandson...
  • Narm: The Bad Ending, featuring the spirits of Alys and Dell stabbing Lysander. What's meant to be a Tear Jerker is ruined by the poor CG at the scene, The awkward anatomy and Dell looks like he's dancing around Lys's corpse.
  • No Yay: Lysander/Dell can be this to some. Dell is a teenager while Lysander, despite looking like someone in his early 20s, is actually old enough to be his grandfather.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • It's never explained why Lysander became immortal.
    • How did Daniel found out that Alys was his biological mother and not Eris? Did he find out on his own or did Eris and/or Glenn told him when he got older?
  • The Woobie: Alys. She had, by far, the worst life of anyone in the story. And it ends with her dying all alone, as Lysander has broken all contact with her and Glenn kills her after he has no use for her anymore.
