  • Critical Dissonance: The ABBA Generation received negative reviews and was seen by ABBA fans as a bastardization of the band's discography, yet was a major hit in several countries.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: While they didn't get much fame in the United States, mostly due to so many pop acts at the time, the band did receive a huge fan-base in Latin America, although they did receive love in their native Sweden.
    • This video from their first trip in Chile is a good example of this trope. They even were invited to appear in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, rather appropiate considering how ABBA became internationally famous for winning the Eurovision Song Festival.
    • There are also some cover bands in Brazil.
  • Signature Song: "Upside Down".
  • Song Association: Their cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" was used in the soundtrack and end credits of the 2002 Disney animated film Lilo And Stitch, leading to some younger audiences affiliating that song with the film.
