  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Sierra Sherraton, the Paris Hilton Expy, who wrestled Daizee Haze (under the name Marley) got a lot of fans inquiring about who portrayed her (Erica D'Erico) - as she wasn't among the more known indie names.
  • Ethnic Scrappy:
    • Maui's characterization was basically "hot Hawaiian hula girl"...who then gets curb stomped by Toni the Top.
    • Azziza who of course had the stereotypical belly Ddancer gimmick. But she only appeared for an entrance, and so isn't remembered that much.
    • Mia Yim wrestled on live events but never made it to TV as a Dragon Lady called Kim Thieu Soon. Diva Dirt included a "yes, really" in the news article.
    • Critics questioned the logic of how in 2010, the lone black woman on the roster was given a rapper gimmick. Lil Slamm however managed to win people over quite quickly by being more of a Genki Girl and surprisingly gifted in the ring. It helps that she was a Face going up against a Britney Spears Expy.
  • Growing the Beard: Cousin Cassie didn't set the world on fire during her match on the first show. However, at a live event taped in 2010, she displayed visible improvement in her wrestling.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Amber Lively (Madison Rayne) and Lacey Von Erich teaming together becomes hilarious with the hindsight that they would eventually join The Beautiful People in TNA (and actually were in TBP when Wrestlicious aired).
  • Narm Charm: The wrestlers did a surprisingly good job getting the silly gimmicks over.
  • Replacement Scrappy: Invoked and almost an in-universe example with Brooke Lynn taking out Leyla Milani and replacing her as the co-host.
  • Retroactive Recognition:
    • The floor manager who's recruited by Boot Camp Bailey and later debuts as Emo Leigh was played by Leva Bates - who became known for her cosplay gimmick on the indies, and memorable run on NXT as 'Blue Pants'.
    • Lacey Von Erich had not yet been in TNA when she filmed this, though it aired in 2010 when she had been there a few months.
  • The Scrappy: The commentator. He's almost universally loathed, and he never actually appears on screen.
  • So Bad, It's Good: Funny thing is, it aired while both WWE and TNA's women's divisions were going through a real slump and thus was producing the best women's wrestling on USA TV at the time.
  • Special Effect Failure: The "snow" during Autumn Frost's entrance and the "fog" for Draculetta's are pretty obvious CGI effects.
  • Took the Bad Film Seriously: The gimmicks were Campy and ridiculous, and the 'storylines' were non-existent and went nowhere. Yet with a team of talented women from the indies, and some surprisingly good ones who were trained just for the show, the wrestling was quite high quality.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The show had lots of potential especially with some of the gimmicks that the indie women were able to make work - notably Paige Webb (Serena Deeb), Autumn Frost (Jennifer Blake), Marley (Daizee Haze), Maria Toro (Mercedes Martinez), Tyler Texas (Lorelei Lee) and the Naughty Girls (Canadian Ninjas). Unfortunately most of them make only one or two appearances, and no storylines are done with them.
