Magazine Decay: Even aside from the transformation from a general RPG magazine to a manufacturer-specific wargames magazine, as discussed on the magazine’s main page and below, White Dwarf is perceived by some fans as having decayed from a general guide to playing GW games to a catalogue of new releases. This was slowly reversed in the latter half of the New 10's: the magazine completely dropped the "new releases catalogue" aspect in 2019, with the focus now being on rule supplements for GW games (such as campaign rules, additional battle missions or even rule updates in some occasions) and new pieces of lore.
