YMMV / Wan Wan Celeb Soreyuke! Tetsunoshin

Go To

  • Awesome Ego:
    • Tetsunoshin is more than happy to show off his pedigree when questioned about it and is kinda full of himself but he's also very charming, cute, and funny.
    • Hakase qualifies to a lesser extent. He's a Gadgeteer Genius who is quick to point out just how smart he is and how easy it is to invent things but he always comes off as lovable and never grates on the nerves.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Hanzou is arguably the most popular of the Hill Dogs thanks to his adorable design, badass personality and tragic backstory of abandonment.
  • Moe: Several characters qualify but most notably Tetsunoshin, Rumi, Pochi, Hanzou and Hana stand out. A group of men even lampshade this in regards to Hana when she gets a job working tables at a maid cafe.
  • Popular with Furries: Much of the show's prevailing popularity (what little there still is, at least) can be attributed to furries who discovered the show either by chance or through fan art. The most widely available Fan Sub for the anime was even made by the Zorori Project, a group of furries who are best known for subbing the Kaiketsu Zorori anime.
  • Stoic Woobie: Hanzou is generally one of the more composed characters in the series but upon hearing his backstory, there's no denying that he deserves a hug.
  • The Woobie:
    • Pochi in general qualifies due to his low self-esteem and skittish nature but this only gets amplified in episode 9 where he gets driven to tears after he overhears his owners trying to get a divorce. Poor guy is worried sick that he'll never see his friends again.
    • Hana, the maid for the Inuyama family is a deconstruction of the Cute Clumsy Girl archetype and suffers horrible self-esteem over constantly tripping and breaking things.
