In General
- Rooting for the Empire: seeing how most of the series only have villains this was a given
- Nightmare Fuel: Basically any time footage of London being destroyed pops up, but Heroes vs. Villains’ stands out in particular. In the thirteenth round, the Horned King arrives and, using the Black Cauldron, summons the Headless Horseman and the Red Bull. The Horseman runs around, slaughtering people left and right while the Red Bull chases a group of people, luring them into the Cauldron Born, who pounce on the horrified civilians and slaughter them. Later, the Firebird emits a blast of fire that burns several people alive and, in an attempt to get the heroes to give up from despair, Blackwolf creates a giant swastika made out of burning civilian corpses. And that’s not even mentioning the other stuff happening elsewhere in the world in this scene.
- Base-Breaking Character: Ruber, there are those who are okay with him & those that can't stand him. Doesn't help that he became King of the World at the end of the first War.
- Creepy Awesome: Manwhoooo delivers a chillingly reserved and hissing Cobra Commander, and his Stalker is even more chilling.
- Anti-Climax Boss: Magneto subdues the Horned King quite easily after dispatching the footsoldiers.
- Crack Pairing: Word of God says Loki x Dr. Doom.
