- Ensemble Dark Horse: Despite only appearing for a few minutes in the movie before falling victim to the Neo Maxima Cannon, Geranda has gathered some popularity among fans and has appeared in a few video game spinoffs.
- Evil Is Cool: Deathfacer is one of the coolest Humongous Mecha in the franchise with is numerous weapons and intimidating appearance, especially the sheer destructive power of its Neo Maxima Cannon. It's one of the most iconic Dyna monsters for this reason and has received a homage in Terraphaser from Ultraman Decker.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: A brilliant human scientist being controlled by aliens, who uses fusion of human technology to build a nigh-unstoppable Mechanical Monster who later Turned Against Their Masters and later turns out to be a pawn of alien invaders to Take Over the World... say, are we talking about Dr. Kisaragi and Deathfacer, or Newt Geizler and Obsidian Fury? For added bonus, Deathfacer and Obsidian Fury both suffers the same demise, having a hole punched through their chests. But they're merely the Disc-One Final Boss of their respective movies.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: Prometheus' transformation into Deathfacer is animated with rather impressive-looking CGI for the time and still holds up rather well over 20 years later.
