• Growing the Beard: It starts out fairly decent, but the quality starts going up after the first few arcs and never stops.
• Harsher in Hindsight: There was at one point a joke where Quint was going to send Roll to the "Time of Mega Man Legends." under the logic that nobody will ever hear from her again, a jab at Capcom leaving the series in limbo. Then the game was announced... Before being cancelled abruptly, making the joke uncomfortable.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Sonic and Mega Man comic crossover event announced, by Archie Comics. And now, look at this art. The pairs seem familiar, don't they?
  • One joke in 2009 was Mega Man asking if someone got his application to be in the new Super Smash Bros.. In 2013, Mega Man was finally announced to be in the Wii U and 3DS installments.
• Ho Yay: Joe and Buzz, one sided.

• Squick:
  • Vanilla and Wily used to have a relationship, serious enough to result in a kid.
  • The first of X's systems that Dr Light designed was his junk. He carries it around in his pocket.
