YMMV / Twitch Plays Pokémon Prism

  • Ascended Fanon: Phancero, AKA the OLDEN bird, is based on a fan-made design for Missingno, the original Glitch Pokemon. It's a giant raven that creates horrific illusions of reality tearing apart at the seams.
  • Good Bad Bugs: The Shiny Ball is supposed to make the Pokémon caught with it shiny. This would most likely result in a shiny Pokémon that just sits in the PC for the entire run, not really being known for anything other than being shiny—and if we do ever use it, it would most likely only be because it's shiny. However, the code didn't work properly. Instead of turning the Koffing we caught shiny, it turned our sixth party Pokémon shiny. In this case it was Y4 the Azumarill, a well-known, established member of the team. And we've had shinies on our team before, but this one is unique because it became shiny, something that isn't even supposed to happen.
    • Instead of simply fixing the glitch, the devs polled the chat on what to do. The final decision was to fix its gender and ability, which had also been changed by the glitch, but leave it shiny.
  • Obvious Beta: One that's expected to be this being its premiere, the game is constantly being stopped to be patched and due to Game Breaking Bugs. Looking closely whenever the game is rebooted, one can make out the version number on the main menu before the game resumes, which shows "Version 0.x", steadily increasing as the mob progresses.
  • The Woobie: OLDEN of all mons has gained this reputation thanks to the lore after it was caught. All this time, despite its glitchy nature, OLDEN was never truly malicious in its intent. All it truly wanted... Was a friend. Someone who could look passed it's Eldritch Abomination nature and see it for the lonely Pokemon it truly was, of which Cyan did.

How well does it match the trope?
