  • Jim standing up for Dave in the opening flashback, and Dave declaring him his new best friend. Doubles as Crowning Moment of Awesome for Jim, since he's the new kid and doesn't even know Dave at this point.
  • The fact that Dave has stayed best friends with Jim for so long, despite how much he annoys him.
